Official Contact Routes

Custody and Records Contacts

The Pipestone County Sheriff's Department is the first official contact for a current county-jail question or a county booking-record request. Its public page does not publish dedicated records-counter hours, so call before visiting or mailing a request.

For a booking report or booking photograph after a person has left the current roster, use the sheriff's public-data request form. Direct the request to the Sheriff's Office responsible authority or designee, identify the name, booking number, and intake date if known, and ask for a current cost estimate.

• Use the official jail custody list for a person currently in Pipestone County Jail.
• Use the sheriff's form for an older booking record or a photo no longer displayed online.
• Use the court portal and court administration for charges, hearings, and later disposition.
• Use the Minnesota DOC, BOP, or ICE locator only when that separate custody system fits.

Court and Custody Follow-Up

The Pipestone County District Court is at 416 South Hiawatha in Pipestone. Its listed telephone is 507-690-7004, fax is 507-825-6733, and published business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The court's hours are not the jail's records hours.

Use Minnesota Court Records Online to follow a public case after booking. For a person committed to Minnesota DOC, begin with the DOC locator information page. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator and ICE Online Detainee Locator serve separate federal and immigration custody questions.

For a custody-status or release notification, Minnesota VINE is available through VINELink information or at 877-664-8463. It is a notification service, not a booking-photo source. Call 911 for an emergency or immediate safety concern, and do not approach a person listed on an active warrant.
